Beef and veggie stir

1 pound round steak -- cut into
long, thin strips
2 tablespoons soy sauce -- low-sodium if prefered
1 tablespoon dry white wine
1/2 cup chopped onion -- big chop -about 1/2 of a medium onion
4 stalks celery -- cut into 1" pieces
1 cup fresh mushroom -- cut into quarters
1/4 cup oil -- for cooking
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt(optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Toss beef slices with soy sauce,
wine and seasonings. Slice vegetables in about the same sizes
so they cook evenly. Heat oil over high heat. Stir fry beef and
onion for about 3 minutes. Remove beef and onion. Add celery,
mushrooms and water to skillet/wok. Stir fry until mushrooms
start to soften. Cover about 2 minutes and let steam. Add beef
back and stir over high heat 1-2 minutes.
